Wasn't one of them that the Cubs still had the lead after that incident?

I liked the "top 5 reasons you can't blame" on Baartman. Yeah, because he pitched all those innings and took all those at-bats.

There was an awesome story (ESPN i believe) from a reporter who was assigned to track down Bartman. It's worth a google.

I used to play softball with a guy from Chicago that knew Bartman.

I left Murdo's off the list since it's technically not in Yankton city limits. It is a good option, though.

Pretty sure you don't need a jacket or tie to get into any restaurant up here. The Library (yes, I'm old) was the closet Yankton place I could think of that was pretty fancy back in the day.

RT @Buster_ESPN: The Indians complete the sweep with a walk-off balk. Unbelievable.

Someone had at one point suggested that Yankton needs a nice place with a dress code. That ain't happening.

I think Muggsys has been for sale for years. and i dont think they are closing
View Article4:23 James D. Cimburek
They're not looking to close, though the owners are looking to retire. The owners are my wife's aunt and uncle, so I know a little about the situation.

That's not bad, either. Only had so many spaces, so I went with the 5 longest-running ones.

I'm not really familiar, what would baseball entail, 20-something scholarships?

Why they titled it "Club Baseball", I don't know..but here's the report. http://www.youtube.com/watc...

Not to mention the facilities. Prentis Park is nice, but it's not a D-1 facility, and there really isn't space to add a baseball field to the sports complex they're developing.
View Article4:14 Robert Nielsen
Personally I'd love to see them bring it back..but I think there would need to be a lot that needs to change beforehand (largely in Title IX compliance)
View Article4:14 jeremyhoeck
USD would have to really work on the Title IX issue to bring back baseball, plus the extra costs involved would likely be too high. It's possible, sure, but it ain't happening any time soon.
View Article4:13 Robert Nielsen
It's an interesting idea..but they had enough trouble maintaining it as a sanctioned sport back in the days when it was the #1 sport in America.
